Well, the American people are finally waking up. Took 'em long enough...and who knows how long it will last, but check this out. Apparently, 6 of 10 Americans believe Bush does not share their priorities.
I guess not...since most of us are not liars, cheaters and right wing zealots who are willing to rape the environment, cut the social insurance net out from under senior citizens or send children to die in a war that was instigated for no apparent reason (and then cuts veterans benefits and financial assistance for their families stateside.)

You cited CBS news? LOL!
ah - our national debt. I am old enough to remember panic that it has been owned by the Dutch, the Japanese, the Arabs, and now the Chinese. I think we would have far more to worry about it we where not credit worthy.
Plus, isolationism does not work, never has. Statistics show that countries that are more globally connected have the highest dispersion of income, the lowest rates of poverty, the lowest levels of child death, the highest education rates. Sure globalism brings certain problems, and large global businesses need to be regulated, but putting our heads in the sand is not progress, it is turning ourselves into a third world country. Anti-globalism is a knee-jerk reactionary response to problems that exist in the world.
