Rudy, Rudy, Rudy

Not sure if anyone I know is paying much attention to the political scene, but there's a small battle being waged between MoveOn.org (yes, I'm a member), and Rudy Giulliani. Seems Rudy doesn't think this group of over 3.5 million Americans has a right to free speech about the Iraq War. Well, MoveOn is fighting back with this ad:

Rudy, like most of the GOoP presidental candidates, is a freakin' money-grubbing hypocrite.

Wait a minute becks: you said you have 3.5 million members, and the add says 3.2. Are getting "creative" with the numbers? ;)

This is one trait I can't stand about ANY politician: most of them change their stance about as often as I change my socks. And I like Rudy: I also like Obama, Fred Thompson, and John Edwards. At this point, I've almost convinced myself Manny would do as good a job as any of the candidates. Our drug policy would be somewhat more relaxed I'm afraid. But can you imagine the photo ops?

I admire your passion and the way you go about it. Our country could use a lot more Becks when it comes to politics, regardless of whether you are red or blue.

Thumbs up.

No, that's not what Rudy thinks. He thinks that if the NYT discounts advertisement space to MoveOn.org that the same discount should apply to his ad space in teh NYT. Seems fair.

In the spirit of providing equal time to candidates (and, really, that's all Rudy is asking for - equality (in terms of NYT ad rates)from the media:

Many "HillRaisers" -- people who rustle up at least $100,000 for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign -- are dwarfed beside Mr. Hsu (pronounced "Shu"). Several people involved in Democratic presidential fund-raising say Mr. Hsu, an apparel executive, has raised well over $1 million for the New York senator's presidential campaign, making him one of the top 20 Democratic fund-raisers in the country. The Clinton campaign doesn't disclose such details and declined to comment for this story.

You know what happened to Mr. Hsu earlier this month right? He was arrested.

The presidential campaign of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday it would return $850,000 in campaign funds raised by Norman Hsu, the subject of an FBI probe into possible election law violations.
