Quick and Easy Question for You

My few readers (if you're still out there) are likely not as interested in presidential politics as I am. (Although I do have to admit that this year its gotten way too early - even for me.)

Anyway, I have just one question for you: are any of you looking forward to voting for Hillary Clinton? If anyone answers this question, I'll post my theory. Well, hell, I'll probably post my thoughts anyway.

I'm genuinely interested in hearing from anyone who plans to vote for the Senator from New York.

I would love to be able to vote for a woman.

But she's not that woman.

What's your theory?

I'm torn, Cath.
I desperately want to have a woman to vote for.
But Hillary?
I'm glad we have so much time to make up our minds.
I'm intrigued...what's the theory?

I agree with both of you. I would absolutely LOVE to have a woman be president...and voting for her would be a highlight of my life.

BUT, not this woman.

Somehow I get the feeling that the Washington types think that Hillary is what we women want. (Certainly Republicans think that's what we want and are salivating at the idea of running against her.)

In actuality, I don't think many of us women (and men) are all that thrilled with a Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton series of presidents. And, much as I think Bill was a perfectly fine president, I DO NOT want to go through a campaign season where the relationship between he and Hillary is a major topic of conversation.

I think the same has happened with Jeb Bush. He is disqualified from being president because his father and brother have made that an impossibility. America doesn't need political dynasties in the White House. It's time for someone new.

I vascillate between Obama and Edwards, but I'm secretly hoping Al Gore runs. I think he's learned a lot from losing in 2000 and is probably ready to be president.

So if Hillary's last name was anything but Clinton, I'd probably be intrigued. But not now.

(A little anti-climatic, wasn't it? BwhahahahahahhAH)

Well, I see I'm a little redundant in my comment above...as I covered it in a previous post. (thought it sounded familiar!)

However, my real point is that no one I know supports Hillary, and I'll make note of the first time I run into someone who is passionately for her.

Enough. Next topic.

Okay, my main problem with Hillary is that she voted for the war and I can't get by it. I am not optimistic about her winning the national election and I couldn't bear another Republican in the White House after the hell we have been through with this one.

Today, I watched Obama make his announcement. He never ceases to impress me whenever I listen to him speak. He offers a better response to his lack of experience than Hillary offers for voting in favor of attacking Iraq.
